Okay Everyone! So I have been trying to have weight loss surgery for quit some time now and have not been successful so I have already made a few steps in the correct directions. I have switched my medical plan to Blue Shield, have gone to John Muir and have almost all of the pre-op steps completed but will still have to do some when my insurance officially changes over in January! I am so excited about all of this that I can barely see straight. I feel that the ladies over at John Muir in Concord have given me all of the support that I need to be successful this time around, they have answered my endless number of questions and have just been there to listen when I wanted to talk about my journey! After going to a support group and hearing from one of my awesome Co-Workers she told me about a plastic surgeon that gives incentives if you allow him to follow you thru your process of weight loss surgery therefore tomorrow I have a meeting with the plastic surgeon. I am so nervous yet excited all at the same time. I am nervous because I have NEVER in my life met with a plastic surgeon and have no clue what to expect and what kind of before pictures will be taken! I also am excited because even though plastic surgery is in the way future (atleast a few years from now) I know that this is also a step in the healthy direction that I'm heading!!!! Anyways I better get to bed so that I can be ready for tomorrow afternoon and my meeting with the plastic surgeon...wish me luck!
