Nearly 5 years...
on March 18, 2012 6:19 pm
I'm now nearly five years out from my RNY. My weight is hanging right around 195 pounds. Five weeks ago I had my extended tummy tuck and I'm VERY excited about looking and feeling "normal" for once... I'm still swollen and will be on and off for the next few months, but I feel great. It's like a completely different life.

Still swollen, lumpy and bumpy, 5 weeks post extended TT.

Two years out
on July 29, 2009 2:08 am
So it's officilly been 2 years since surgery. A month before surgery I was at 374 pounds. On the day of surgery I was down to 349. Now, I fluctuate between 212 and 221, which means I'm maintaining a loss of around 150 pounds. My actual weight goal is still out there (175), but to be honest, I'm not doing everything I can to keep my weight loss going. I'm trying to make sure I get all my protein in, and am working on getting back into an exercise routine. I don't want to backslide. I've got a wedding to plan and it sure would be nice picking out a dress with another 40-50 pounds off my frame!

4 1/2 Months Out
on November 23, 2007 4:45 pm
I'm right around 4 and half months out from surgery. I'm down a total of 102 pounds (77 since surgery) and I'm feeling leaps and bounds better than I did just a few months ago. What an amazing tool this surgery is. It hasn't been easy, but so worth it.  When i started this journey my BMI was 56.9 and now I'm down to 41.4 - I still have a ways to go, but I'm so happy with my progress. I'm seeing old friends next month (ones I haven't seen in 5 years) and instead of feeling that dreaded feeling of "oh no, i look like such ass" I'm excited to see them. I feel good. Really good.
