Surgeon Testimonial

Ian A. Villanueva
I have been very impressed with Dr. V. He is very upfront ,takes time to explain everything to you and answers any questions you have. He has a great office staff. They are very helpful and friendly. His aftercare program is structured and helpful.
His surgial expertise is what made me choose him. His bedside manner was a plus. I could not believe how much time he spends with his hospital patients. Great Dr. Great program!

2nd fill
on September 1, 2010 12:50 am
I had my second fill Monday August 30th. I had lost 3lbs in the last 3 weeks.  I wished for more but I will take 3. I think I am starting to fill more restriction. I have to make myself eat smaller amounts. That is my challange. I know I can do it. I am exercising more and that is great.
I have had a horrible flare up with my planter facitis. I had to go get a cortizone shot in my heel. Wow did that hurt! But I will just tape my foot before I start out on my walks. It will get better as I lose weight, I'm sure.

First Fill
on August 12, 2010 10:35 am
I was really nervous about my first fill. I had read some online blogs that desrcibed it in detail and that made me feel a little more at ease. It was quite an experience. You lay on your back and lift your legs, while your stomach muscles are tight the dr. finds your port and inserts the needle.(it looked big to me)
I had a little bit of trouble at first the dr. said he did not feel like he was in the port correctly and ended up with three lifting the legs and pokes before it felt right to him. It really wasn't painfull , just nerve wracking.
I had 4 cc and then they lifted the bed to a standing postion and had me drink water. All the while the needle is still in your port. After I could drink water he layed me back down and removed the needle. All done!
My next fill is Aug. 30th.
