    Monday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. Wow - 3 weeks since I was approved, and it still seems unreal.  Maybe it will become more "real" as I have my first appointment this Thursday.  The bariatric program at the hospital I will be using has been selected as one of six in the nation to conduct research on weight loss surgery, thus they follow patients from pre-op for some time to come.  I agreed to participate in this study, and my first appointment is this Thursday.  

It still seems a long way to go until July 2nd, but I bet it will go fast (until I get to the liquid diet phase).  I have been reading lots about the surgery, and though I am scared, I think I am more scared not to do it.
