6 months already!! Wow! I can't believe its been that long. It feels like only yesterday that I was having surgery. I think I've done pretty well. The labs are decent, the doctor is pleased. I guess that makes me happy as well. I need to add in more exercise. I'm hoping now that the weather is finally warming up that I will get out more. Its hard between work, family, etc. I think I'm going to start taking my lunch hour and at least go out for a walk. I figure that its a start. I had been walking with my daughter but she has an infection in her foot and needs to stay off of it for a few more days. I'll start dragging her out again this weekend.
So I'm down 119 pounds total, 111 pounds since surgery. I don't remember when I've ever lost that much before. I can move better. I walked in the Memorial Day Parade with my GS troop for the first time. I never could have done that a year ago. I'm proud of myself but still have a long way to go. Hopefully, I will be close to goal by the end of the year. Dr. thinks I can do it by my 12 month date. I'll keep trying and stick to the rules. But it does get harder the further out you are. My best advice for anyone is to not have the stuff in the house. When I go to the cafeteria for lunch I either head straight to the salad bar or the dairy case for a yogurt. Stay away from all the crap and its easier. I look at what people are able to eat and just shake my head that I used to eat that much. Its frightening!
I'm glad I had this surgery! I'd do it again in a heartbeat!
