Julie Leverton, M.D.
My first impression of Dr. Leverton was "hey, she's just too young, can't possibly have enough experience"! She was great tho, answered every question I had and then some. Explained the risks thoroughly. Had me completely at ease just shortly after we sat down together. The staff at BTC was wonderful too, never once looked at me like I was... well, ya'll know those looks. Dr. Leverton definately emphasized aftercare, and they do have a program that I will have to adhere to, yuck, but will be well worth it :) Overall, Dr. Leverton doesn't rate... she's off the charts! Although I would much prefer surgical competence, she seems to be able to blend that along with a great bedside manner into her practice nicely. I really don't have any thing negative to say at this point, and I hope to be able to keep it that way!

10/17/01 (IN ADDITION) I am post op now, but just had to let you know about my stay at the BTC hospital. Dr. Leverton never let me down, continued to stay just as attentive as she was in the begining. The staff at the hospital surprised me, they were every bit as attentive as Dr. Leverton (I didn't think it could be any better). These women that work at the hospital are so much more than just nurses, they became friends. They came in and brushed my hair, ohhh'ed and ahhh'ed over my 7 y.o. son and gave him a popsickle, and they treated me like a princess. I almost hated to go :)

1/11/02 (IN ADDITION) I had to see Dr. Ihde today, was having lots of tummy aches, he immediately found a hernia. I just wanted to let you know that if my wonderful Dr. Leverton is away, the terrific Dr. Ihde is a great one too :) On the phone... he's not much of a talker, in person he is something else! He was very personable, treated me just like I was one of his own :)

    Donna ,Congrats on your wonderful progress... i'm thinking that i have talked to you on the phone ... do you know Vicki Carlisle?? anyhow ... my surgery is on 4-25-02 at btc in wylie also ... Dr. Capps is my surgeon... any advice :-) ???? hugs and all the best to you ...
