Surgeon Testimonial

Bradley J. Needleman, M.D.
Dr. Needleman is a very warm and caring doctor. He cares for you as a person and not just another body to operate on. He allowed me to come back and answered the rest of the questions that I had. He did address the risks of surgery. I would rate Dr. Needleman very high. Both surgical competence and bedside manner is very important. Dr. Needleman was honest and open about the risks of surgery.

22 months after WLS
on December 28, 2006 7:56 am
December 28, 2006  today is the 22nd month since I have had wls.  I am weighing 153 pounds. 118 pounds gone. I did good through the Christmas holiday.  I did not wait to eat at just one meal.  I had my protein and ate throughout the day.  I ate some of my Mother's German Chocolate cake.  It was good but I paid for it by reacting to the sugar.   I am feeling good and loving life.  I am enjoying lifting free weights and working out.

Well I stayed at 156  lbs this week which is okay.  I picked up the Oxygen magazine  Clean Eating.  I will follow the suggestions in this magazine to clean up the rest of my bad eating habits.  I am determined to keep my 120 plus weight loss.  It said that wls patients will gain half of what they lost within the first 5 years of their surgery.  I am doing everything in my power to beat that statistic.  I will be care in what I eat this week and even for Christmas.  I will be doing the cooking with my mother and we plan on cooking healthy and good.  Next weigh in will be Christmas day 2006!!!

Monday's Weigh in 12/11/2006
on December 11, 2006 7:23 am
Well I am up again after all of my hard work last week.  I blew it by laying in the bed and just eating.  When it is cold outside I do not want to do any thing.  I am up 3 pounds to 156 pounds.  I have got the last 16 pounds off and keep them off.  I will not give up keep fighting.  I am enjoying the way that I am feeling.  I am in a good solid size six.  I am able to eat more which is a scary thing.  I must learn to listen to my body when it is head hunger, thirst or real hunger.
