He was very informative, I grew to really respect him. His office staff is very helpful and very friendly. There wasn't anything I didn't like about him. He is a great doctor. He gives very good aftercare to his patients. They have a very structured after care program. He told me all the risk and benefits as did the nursing staff. I would rate him a 10 out of 10. His bedside manner and his surgical competence is great. I had no problems at all with my surgery or my first fill. He came to see me after my surgery and he was just great. I got sick and threw up and he wouldn't let me go home, He is a very caring man to his patients.

I would eat when I was bored, upset, or just to be eating. I had been on every diet there was and just could not keep the weight off.

My Story

I started researching the band a year ago this month and made my appointment for the seminar the 19th of June. I found out my insurance didn't pay but my husband sold some stock and I was able to get the surgery on August 9,2009. This has been the best thing I have ever done for my self. I used to lay on the couch almost 16 hours a day. I went to work came home and went to bed I was to tired to do anything else. I didn't clean my house, cook or wash clothes I did nothing. I know this sounds horrible but I couldn't I was to tired. My daughter and her family live with us and she had to do it all. I feel really bad about this now but at the time I didn't have the strenght to get up and move. Now I have lost 90 pounds I have only 50 more to go and I will have lost a whole person. I can clean my house, go down stairs and wash clothes, and cook. I even walk three miles most days. This is a wonderful journey I am on. I have went from 289 to 199 in nine short months.

 08/09/2007 It has been a year today since my surgery I have lost 110 pounds and  have got taken off my blood pressure medicine. I am healthier than I have been in a long time.Bandiversary.gif picture by LaraNicole
