Down 1.7 lbs for a total of 41.6 lost.

The scale I'm using in the office seems to be discordant with the scale in the hospital that I was using before, by about 5 lbs. On this scale, I'm down another 4 lbs, for a total of 39.9 lbs in six weeks - if the other scale is right, then it's only about 35 lbs. I'll correlate next week - I weigh in at the surgeon's on Tuesday, so I'll check my weight in the office on Monday and in the hospital on Wednesday and see how close the three are.

In other post-op news, one of the incision sites really IS infected now - hot, tender, and still oozing yellow stuff (where the other 4 sites have stopped oozing), so the surgeon told me to start an antibiotic.

Sorry I've been invisible the last week or two. A little down over the work situation, and a little stressed (the old job didn't pay me for the last week I worked, which makes things REEEEEAL tight). However, I now have a regular schedule with my friend, and we're already talking about full-time/permanent/partnership. I lost another 9.7 lbs this week, for a total of 36.2 in 4 weeks. I moved down 2 sizes in slacks, and had to go buy a new belt because the old one was too big. The next-size-down dress shirts are still just a wee bit snug in the chest, so I'll wait another week or two before moving to those. I'm still struggling with what I can and can't eat, and how much and how fast - I find I'm "reviewing inputs" at least once a day because I ate too much or too fast. However, I was CRAVING sausage and peppers this past week, so I got a bunch of turkey sausage and made myself a big crockpot full! I'm a happy camper. Next up, crockpot choucroute garni (sauerkraut and smoked sausage - I'll use a turkey kielbasa).

ETA: I forgot to mention, I went to see my primary doc this week, because I was having a little orthostatic dizziness (I was getting dizzy when standing up from sitting or lying). My BP was 118/80, so we dropped one of the blood pressure meds!
