Kristie, Just wanted to stop in and tell you I am praying for you today and wish you the very best with your surgery, and in the weeks after as you begin a new and healthier life. As soon as you feel up to it, let us know how you are doing. Hope you have a speedy recovery. Hugs, Dawn

Hi Kristie, I know just how important these mesages are when you come home too. I am now 1 year and six months out from this surgery. Its not a perfect life. I still have IBS but I started out weighing 330 and now I weigh 166. Your body will want you to rest at first and you will but I promise about six weeks from now you will realize that a switch has been flipped and a whole new phase of your life has begun. Laugh as much as you can this first year. Smile big. Your body and doesn't know the difference between faking happiness and being really happy. It makes the happy chemicals anyway. Take up a hobby as soon as your mind will let you concentrate. Cry when you feel like it. You are grieving for a dead lifestyle and that is normal too. And most of all.... Examine your goals and be kind to the new you every day.... its the only way things change-day by day, not pound by pound. Learn to love challenges. Sincere wishes, Pam Chavers
