Surgeon Testimonial

William O'Malley, M.D.
I met with Dr. O'Malley My first impression of him was he is all business, he knows his stuff.
He has been on the Oprah show and has ben rated on of the best surgeons in the country.
He went over all the information I needed to know and was informative to me on the risks of surgery.

Dr. O'Malley made me feel real comfortable about the surgery he came in to talk to me before I went in and he was very nice and understanding,I was not worried at all. After surgery he came in to see me a couple of times and he was very nice, brisk and in a hurry but very efficient and very imformative. I would reccommend him to anyone who is interested in bariatric surgery.

I decided to try running and that seemed to be a good idea at the time I even bought a really nice pair of running shoes, but after about 2 weeks i had pulled a mucle in my leg and now I cant run, so i guess its back to walking. I think i would like to look into rollerblading maybe that wont be so tough.. we will see. As for weight loss my weight seems to have slowed down and i fluctuate between 135 to 140 the same 5 pounds up and down, some days i really want some sugar and i find that i can eat certian things now without getting sick.. I havent had a sugar dump in a very long time and as far as I can remember I only have had one...well not sure what else to let you know about.

My Story is one of constant struggle with my weight my whole life was and still is a battle to lose weight. My life always revoled around some kind of weight loss war. I have tried everything and yes i did lose some but most of the time I just ended up regaining it back. Several of my freinds that I work with have had the wls and they have had awsome results I never thought about doing the surgery myself until my sister had the surgery last year and she has lost 150 pounds and looks wonderful, I really was inspired by her to look into wls, so I talked to my pcp and told her what I wanted to do, she was all for me doing it and pointed me in the direction i needed to be.

Now after i attended the seminar in June I quickly had my doctor fill out the necessary forms and send them to the wls office, in my hurry I forgot to document all my wl attempts and they placed me in a 6 month nutrition program, where I had to record everything I ate and to make changes in my diet, this was tough but i was determined to get through everything I needed to do.. I at one point got a really disapointing phone call from the surgeons secretary about 2 months into the nutrition, she told me that i did not qualify for the wls because in 2003 my bmi was 39 and i needed to have a 40 to be qualified since i had no physical problem, i did not have high bp or cholesteral, I was however seeing a rhumotoligst for a condition called fibromayalgia he was sending me to a sleep specialist because I was exhausted all the time, come to find out I was diagnosed with sleep apnea, I kept calling the surgeons office I wrote a letter explaining how i was feeling and they called me a month later to tell me I could continue with the program but not to get my hopes up because just because they were letting me continue didnt mean that my insurance company would allow me to get the surgery. So I plodded through and finally came to my final nutrition appt it was so good to be done, I couldent believe it, my next step was to meet with the surgeon and to get insurance approval and yes I did get approved!!!! that was the best day and the best news in my life other than my sons being born.... And meeting the love of my life.

so now Iam waiting for my surgery date to come April 4 2007Myspace Glitter Graphics, MySpace Graphics, Glitter GraphicsMyspace Glitter Graphics, MySpace Graphics, Glitter GraphicsMyspace Glitter Graphics, MySpace Graphics, Glitter GraphicsMyspace Glitter Graphics, MySpace Graphics, Glitter GraphicsMyspace Glitter Graphics, MySpace Graphics, Glitter Graphics Myspace Glitter Graphics, MySpace Graphics, Glitter GraphicsMyspace Glitter Graphics, MySpace Graphics, Glitter GraphicsMyspace Glitter Graphics, MySpace Graphics, Glitter GraphicsMyspace Glitter Graphics, MySpace Graphics, Glitter Graphics Myspace Glitter Graphics, MySpace Graphics, Glitter GraphicsMyspace Glitter Graphics, MySpace Graphics, Glitter GraphicsMyspace Glitter Graphics, MySpace Graphics, Glitter GraphicsMyspace Glitter Graphics, MySpace Graphics, Glitter Graphics
