Surgeon Testimonial

Daniel Lane, M.D.
My first impression of Dr. Lane was when I went to the seminar. He is a great educator and passionate about bariatric surgery. He answered questions and made sure you understood.
For the Doctor visit, it took a while to see him but that's ok because I know he takes time with his patients and talks to them so that really didn't bother me at all, because I knew he would do that for me. There is really nothing I don't like about him. He is straight forward, does not beat around the bush and gives you the best options. He and his NP are great and make sure you understand the diet afterwards. He addressed all the risks and benefits of the surgery and makes sure you understand them. Even though he is not a big man, in fact he is lean, he actually understands where the bariactic patient is coming from. All the aches and pains we have. He is very safe especially with his pre op lab, xrays, and pulmonlogy. In the hospital, he and his NP came to see me and even the pulmonogist I seen. They are insistent of you walking and drinking water. I am a nurse and have worked in surgery before and I have to say..he is great.

Had surgery on Nov. 10, 2011. It went smoothe thank God for that. Today I am 4 days out. I am on full liquids and I get so full with just the 4 oz. Water is sooo hard to get down.  Since Nov.1 I have lost 19 pounds and I even feel a little better than I did. I don't take my Victoza shot anymore for the Diabetes and comtemplating on not taking my Cozaar because my BP has been good.  I didn't get it in the hospital so maybe he thinks I don't need it.  I don't know if this is weird or not, but I ponder during the day..am I going to like the new me? I know that sounds crazy but I keep thinking about a new person trying to get out of my body. I really hope I do and things go good for me.  I know this site has helped me in so many ways...reading people's stories and looking at pictures.  I thank God that we can all share our feelings and what we are going through on here without being judged. This is a God send.  SO....thank you.
