Hypoglycemia
on December 7, 2011 7:01 am
Today I have been trying to figure out what is wrong with me for about a year.  Cognitive Memory is wild; unable to remember things like I should.  I have been poked, prepped, etc with all kinds of test and believe this they have given me depression pills.  Fainting, passing out, sweating etc I am getting so tired until one day starting searching on the internet and was informed that having gastric surgery you will get low blood sugar.  Gone to doctors they are not taking it serious oh change your diet and be gone.  Now I have low vitamin D levels and b12 is elevated.  What is a girl to do.

I am now down 80 pounds and I thank God for the feeling I have at this moment.  To be able to cross my legs in places is such a blessing that maybe some take for granted but I have learned to treasure the little things.  I have taken my dr's advice and not look at the scale because it will hurt you everytime.  Just a moment of praise and encourgement to others.  Keep moving forward and do what the dr's and your Nut tells you to do.

My Story
on January 14, 2010 9:37 am

I have been large the majority of my teen and adult life.  I have not really tried to lose weight because for years people has told me I look fine.  After awhile that fine turns into morbid obesity.  When I was diagnosed with Lupus 5 years ago I did not take it too serious but one year ago I said to self, you need to do something different you have 5 and 15 year old and could you honestly say that you will be here for them in the next 10 years.  Answer is NO.  I had started to diet, nothing happened.  When I found out that my BMI was over 50 a morbid obese person something had to change.  Decided to do weight loss but before then I started to exercise.  That was my downfall - never exercised.  When I had a made up mind, I did it for 6 months and you can imagine the energy i had and it felt good.  I had started out at 332.  Surgery date was 08/21/09 and as of 01/14/10 I have lost 67 pounds.
