9 Month Check-In
on March 3, 2013 7:24 pm

I will say the further I get out the more I find myself straying Is till hit all my goals but I know there are definitely better fod choices I can be making. Last nigh I did something incredibly stupid and went out with some of my girlfriends and it started with a margarita and then 8 drinks later I was tottally wasted. It was really a scary feeling and the next morning I am furious with myself for being so incredibly stupid. Each new day gjves me a chance to make it better then the last and I am learning that everyone makes mistakes you just have to pick yourself back up and learn from those mistakes. The adivse I can give is so not strive perfection because you will only be dsiappointing yourself, rather strive to make each day better then the one before.

5 Months
on November 9, 2012 5:47 pm

So I was 5 months out on the 1st. This journey has been one of many ups and downs. For the most part I am doing well. I have found myself going back to some old habits(sweets) but I am diligently getting a handle on that. I am down 67 lbs from my highest weight and 61 since my surgery. I am loving my new body. I can run for 15 mins and have been exercising 3-4x per week since I was 10 days post op. I love to exercise now and feel guilty when I miss a day. I am able to play with my kids with out feeling winded, and I can walk up stairs without having to stop half way through. I can drive my car and my stomach doesnt touch the steering wheel. So many little things mean the world to me. I am very proud of all the hard work I have put into myself and I am finally learning that I am worth it!! I will still struggle everyday as I didn't get to where I was overnight it will take me a long time to change myself and become the person I want to be but I have taken many steps in the right direction and am just hanging on for the ride as I continue on my life changing journey.
