After about 10 years of thinking about surgery and being afraid to take the plunge I am finally 3 weeks (actually 18 days) to surgery! I am excited and nervous all at the same time. I am constantly looking at before and afters and cannot believe that I will look "normal" by summer! I have never been smaller than a 14 or 240 in my adult life, now I am an 18/20/22 depending on the clothes and 295.

At 5'10" I have always carried my weight well. I was a cheerleader at 15 and 200 lbs. I've been an advocate for plus size ladies and fashion and a plus size model, so I have been positive and made the best out of the body I was given. But as I get older I want to avoid health problems that I could potentially face if this weight doesn't come off. I cannot wait for the 18th to arrive. I'm not nervous about the surgery itself but the first couple of months afterwards and getting used to eating again. I am terrifued of dumping!

Luckily one of my best friends had her RNY 7 years ago and is a huge support system and cheerleader for my surgery so I am lucky to have her helping me along. I hope to find some friends on here to help me along as well!
