Tuesday is your day!
Just remember you
are on the journey
of a lifetime. Try
to enjoy every
minute. It may sound
weird now, but know
that you are cared
for and prayed for
here, and all too
soon this will be
but a memory and you
will be an
inspiration to
someone else. I am
waiting for you on
the losers' bench!
Hi Emilie,
Just wanted to post
a good luck wish for
your surgery on
Tuesday. You must
be excited! Best
wishes for a speedy
recovery and lots of
weight loss.

Hello,
My name is Emilie. I am currently morbidly obese and have been so for at least the last 7 years. I have been overweight my entire life. Numerous diet attempts starting at the age of 13 have failed and resulted in weight gain. I have two children ages 4 and 2. I want to have RNY so that I can lead a more active life.
My Story
I attended a weightloss seminar at Roger Williams Medical Center 4/12/07
My first appointment with Dr Giovanni was on 4/23/07.
My primary care Doc recommended that I see Dr Roye, I called for an appointment in April and was given a date of 6/23/07.
I went to that appt. and had to wait 50min to be seen by the NP.
I completed all of my pre-op testing on 6/19/07.
It took a couple of weeks for the Giovanni's office to recieve all of the paperwork.
My next appontment is scheduled with Dr Giovanni on 7/16/07.
I have a date for RNY and possible gall bladder removal 8/14/07!
Well I had surgery on 8/14/07.
It went well quite a bit of pain but well managed with meds.
I had hard time on Friday sick to my stomach- from taking percocet on an emmtpy stomach all night.
I came home on Friday afternoon and feel much better now that I take the percocet with my protein shake.
