Well had my 1st informational meeting yesterday.  Thought I would be able to make my 1st appt. but no go.  You have to first see if your ins. covers wls which I can totally see. Then you have to get your medical records from your pcp and a letter of support. Which while I was waiting for this info. thing I could have been getting my records but anyhoo, thank God I just happen to have an appt. with my pcp today. Anyway so the ball is rolling!!!!  Hopefully it won't take long because until they get my records I don't get an appt. ugh!! But in a way I can see their point it's to weed out the ones that aren't serious I guess I don't know. I just hope I get an appt. soon.  Let ya know.

Well just checking in.  I want to thank all my new friends that I have met here on OH who I've been talking to hopefully you knoe who you are LOL. You've given me some great informationand support which Ireally NEED right now love you guys for that.  It's going to be a looong month waiting for my appt. I can tell you that. The more I read the more excited I get.  Hugs!!!!

Well all i've been doing is collecting as much information as I can about this Dr. Hill and about this surgery.  My husband tells me that I pay attention more to the computer  than I do to him now LOL!!  But I still have over a month to wait just for the informational meeting thats a looong time to wait and think.  I know I am ready I reached this surgery before about 2 or 3 years ago but really really in depth I don't think I was ready then because I was only thinking about what people thought about the way I looked.  Now I could really care less but I have MANY co morbidities so i'm doing it for my health and if end up looking great at the end well thats an added bonus!!!  I will let you know

Well I will be going for my first informational meeting with Dr. Hill on May 27th.  I'm Very scared and excited all at the same time maybe it's because I'm not quite sure what to expect out of the first meeting.  But i'm sure glad i'm GOING!!! I'll let you all know what happens.

My Story

All my life I have always been the the fat girl.  
I always looked at everyone else and 
said why can't that be me?  Why can't 
I just stop eating so much I envied them so 
much!!  I've tried dieting and lost weight and 
gained more on top of what I had lost.  
Then I met the man of my dreams which I 
thought would NEVER happen married 
and had 2 children.  Then the weight really 
packed on.  Now I seem to be in this rut 
that I can't get out of.  My highest weight 
after my second child was 275lbs.  I am now 
a little happy to report I am down to 243lbs but
 still not where I want to be.  I can't seem
 to loose any more weight.  I go up and I go down. 
I've tried weight watchers, i've tried 
dieting on my own, excercising my brains out etc!!!! 
So I have thought about surgery for
 a couple of years now and finally I am ready 
for the life change it will bring me!!!!!!!
