Alfred Schneider, M.D. He is great. Lets you know exactly what to expect. Gives you 4 different numbers to contact him. Says to call day or night. I had my surgery out of the st john oakland hospital. Some of the staff could have been better. But what a wonderful doctor. I would recommend in a heartbeat.
Well, it's noon now
on your surgery day.
You should be done
or almost there. I
am hoping you are as
surprised as I was
three weeks ago at
how well everything
went. It's always
great to get your
very own miracle.
Praying for a happy
recovery for you.
Monday is your day!
Just remember you
are on the journey
of a lifetime. Try
to enjoy every
minute. It may sound
weird now, but know
that you are cared
for and prayed for
here, and all too
soon this will be
but a memory and you
will be an
inspiration to
someone else. I am
waiting for you on
the losers' bench!

Went to se my surgeon today. 9 month check up. Everything was great. I dont care for his scale though. Mine and his is 1 pound difference. I guess I can live with that. He is also going to do my gall bladder surgery. He asked me when I wanted it done. I told him I really want christmas off. So he is going to do it the week before, providing I dont have any problems. Keeping my fingers crossed. Other than that, all is well.
Well just got back from my PCP. He reccommends that I have my gall bladder out. I called my surgeon, just waiting for a call back for that. I also learned that I have high cholestoral. He is more concerned with the gall bladder right now. So I go back to him in 3 months for that. Ughh!! What else?
OK, So,
I got my results for both. The mammogram showed something in my left breast. They said it's probably benign, and to have another ultra sound in 6 months. I am really bothered by the probably part.
My PCP called me today to tell me to keep my appointment with him on the 4th of November, because I do have gall stones. It is not GERD. I wonder what he is going to do. Keep you updated.
Well, I had my ultra sound of my gull bladder on Monday. They told me to not eat or drink anything past midnight and be there at 8 am. So I did that. While examining me, she asked me when and what was the last thing I ate. I told her popcorn at about 10:30. She said because she can not really see my gull bladder. She said it's not creating enough bile. Then she said you will have to come back in a few hours. but to still not eat or drink anythink. I went back a little later and she said she could see it, but I was starving, and thirsty. From not drinking anthing it backed my system up, and I could not go to the bathroom. It was horrible. Today I went for my ultra sound and mammogram. That was an experience as well. Never had one before. It was very uncomfortable. Almost to the point of hurting. Got through it though. Won't get either results for a week. So we will see.
Haven't written in awhile. Not much going on. I have lost 84 pounds so far. Only 19 more to go, til I get to the doc's goal. I never thought it was going to be possible. However, now I think I can, and maybe even go below it. That is so strange. I went to my PCP today, because I thought I was having a reoccurance of GERD. He said maybe, but to have an ultra sound done of my gall bladder, because they mimic the same signs. So I have to have that done on Monday, and on Wednesday I have to have an ultra sound and mammogram. I found a lump on each breast-Doc said most likely not cancer, but to get them checked out to see if they either have to be removed or drained. So, just waiting for this stuff to be over with.
The surgeon said that my weight loss would slow down, and it has. I am losing like 5-7 pounds a month. I am finally getting all my protein in, and guess what? I lost 4 pounds this past week. I have also been losing my hair for about 2 months now. I am so scared I am going to be bald. I think it has finally slowed down a bit-but boy is that scary. I try not to wash my hair everyday, because when I brush it wet-alot seems to come out. I think I have lost about 25% of my hair. I did have some layers put in, and had it highlited-just to try to hide some of it. My hair dresser said as long as it is just strands falling out all over, I will be fine. If it's clumps then it's time to worry. It doesn't come out in clumps, just strands. It sucks though, because I am constantly picking hairs off of me, and I can feel them too-drives me nuts, when they are on my arm-it tickles.
I have been overweight my entire life. My BMI is now at 40.6. I have been researching WLS for a few years now, and I know alot of people at my work that have had it done.
I now have BCBS Community Blue PPO. (I did have HAP EPA). I have made the appointment with a doctor that someone has referred me too. Its Monday February 5, 2007. We will see what happens from there.
