I had surgery Tuesday, January 8.  I am now 5 days out, and doing pretty okay.  I'm sore and not moving quickly, but I'm really not feeling too badly.  I'm a bit superstitious, so I don't want to say I'm doing well for fear that it will all fall apart   

I was so nervous leading up to surgery, but by the time surgery day arrived I had pretty much accepted my decision.  The fatigue from the liquid diet also made it hard to muster enough energy to be nervous lol!  According to the doctor, everything went well with the surgery.  I was in the hospital for 2 days.  I am happy to be home, sleeping in my recliner and having my mom around to make sure I'm keeping up with my sipping and walking.  

I was approved!  I'm having surgery Jan. 8, 2008. 

I was denied!  The insurance company came back and said I needed to do a six month physician supervised diet.  That was not stated up front.  ARGH!   I have to call my PCP this week and get the ball rolling. 

It's been two weeks since the surgeon's office submitted the paperwork to insurance.  All I can do is wait, but I'm getting impatient.  I can't make any plans for my winter break until I know whether or not I'm having surgery.  It's so frustrating.  But I'll sit here by the phone, hoping for the best...
