Forgive me ...

I just posted my story on the forums and basically was attacked by a woman saying that I wasn’t educated enough to be a healthy success story. I think it was quite cruel to tell someone that because she was not told, nor read (after several years of research), that a gastric bypass patient should not take NSAIDS, that I’m uneducated. It’s so sad dealing with the prejudice from people for being fat, now I’m being told I’m also ignorant. Constructive, and even rude, criticism is not needed in my life story. I am just trying to help someone else who might not have been given information that could potentially save major complications down the road. Forgive me for saying something that she believes is very well-known. I do hope that everyone is already aware of the dangers of taking NSAIDS. But seeing as scar tissue is a major and common complication, obviously not everyone is getting the message.

I believe you.I went to multiple WLS seminars prior to choosing my surgeon, and not all programs are equal. One program in particular raised red flags.

Thank you for sharing your story...mine is not that much unlike yours and I too am on a feeding tube 16-18 hours a day. - Karen
