Home, happy & ready to face the future!
Well today is Tuesday June 3rd. & It has been a week since my RNY. I really can't complain, no pain, no gas, no nausea... The only difficulty I had was extreme back pain because I have degenerative disk disease & it was very painful just lying on my back while in the hospital. Oh & I did have a hard time breathing in when using my spirometer it was painful until I got my drain removed the last day at the hospital. I did weigh myself when I got home from the hospital & I had gained 5 lbs since the morning of surgery , according to my surgeon from the liquids they pumped me up with. I have not weighed myself since, but will probably get weighed at my doctor's apt. tomorrow to get my staples removed  YEAH!!!They are itchy & driving me crazy. I feel so blessed to have had such a positive experience, my husband & my son took off work & were by my side 24/7. They are still trying to baby me... My daughter came to see me everyday, but since she had taken several weeks off because of her accident on May 1st she had to work. Anyway, I am looking forward to discovering all that this journey has in store for me, new friends, new experiences & new memories...
