3+ months out & loving life! I am now 14 weeks out, have lost a total of 62 lbs & I am loving life. Although I had no idea how much work a successful WLS journey actually entailed prior to having surgery, today I am thrilled to have gone thru it. I have found that you need to be dilligent in taking in your vitamins, & you have to do a lot of prep work to get your daily food prepared & always plan ahead. I cannot complain, so far the journey has been uneventful. I had my 3 month check-up last week & all my bloodwork came back fine YEAH! It is amazing how well this whole thing works when you abide by the rules & follow the surgeon's orders. I now have 56 lbs left to go to goal, which seems manageable to me. I have some good weeks & some not so good weeks when it comes to the scale, but I have learned to also use non scale victories to measure my successes. I had planned to incorporate exercise into my regimen at 4 months, but that will have to be delayed because I need to have a hysterectomy & get an ovary removed on Sept. 22. That's OK the gym will still be there when I am recovered & I can start then. I really thank God for having had the opportunity to have this surgery, it is an awesome tool & has changed my life. I am grateful that so far hunger has not really been an issue for me, nor has the urge to eat sweets, I hope this lasts as long as possible. Life today is good, but I am looking forward to an even better tomorrow!
