WELCOME:  
I have been married for 16 years; we have 6 daughters between the both of us and 5 grandchildren. I AM HAPPY TO LET YOU KNOW THAT I DID IT!  IT WAS ON SEPT. 8TH 2008 THAT I HAD THE RYGB AND BOY WAS IT THE BEST THING I EVER DID IN MY LIFE. 
   I am LOSING WEIGHT SO EASILY NOW.  SO NOW I AM LEARNING ABOUT EATING RIGHT, EXERCISING EVERY DAY TO GET MORE FIT.  I'M NOT PERFECT IN THIS QUEST TO EAT AND EXERCISE RIGHT, BUT I TRY EVERY DAY TO KEEP TRACK AND ENCOURAGE MYSELF TO DO BETTERAND NOW ITS PAYING OFF - MY CLOTHES ARE GETTING BIGGER!!    No - I'm actually getting smaller!  WE
ARE SUCCESSING IN THIS LIFE TO BECOME BETTER IN ALL WAYS.... SO TOGETHER.. WE CAN DO IT!

My Story

I WAS A FAT BABY AT 12 MONTHS... FOLLOWED BY CHUBBY AND A LITTLE OVER WEIGHT FOR MANY YEARS... AFTER HAVING A CHILD, I BECAME FAT THEN OBESE AND IF IT WEREN'T FOR "WATCHING" WHAT I ATE, AS A DIABETIC, I WOULD HAVE SOARED INTO THE RANGE OF 400-600 MORBIDLY OBESE. 

I NEVER HAD CONTROL OVER FOOD.  I NEVER HAD A NORMAL BODY WEIGHT.  SOUNDS FAMILIAR? 
WELL, I'M SO GRATEFUL THAT I FINALLY TOOK THE STEP TO GET HELP - ALTHOUGH I RAN FROM IT FOR 5 YEARS - MY HUSBAND ENCOURAGED ME TO DEAL WITH IT AND I WENT FOR THE SURGERY ON SEPT. 8, 2008.  I AM HALF WAY THERE IN MY WEIGHT LOSS AT 246 LBS NOW (DEC. 2008); AND MY GOAL IS AROUND 150. I FEEL MUCH BETTER PHYSICALLY, BUT I STILL NOTE MY INSANE THINKING ABOUT FOOD WHEN I GET "HALT", HUNGRY, ANGRY, LONELY OR TIRED.  THEN ITS TIME TO STOP, HALT AND THINK BEFORE EATING:  AM I REALLY HUNGRY?  IS IT IN MY PROGRAM TO EAT THIS OR THAT?  AM I KEEPING TRACK? AND, AM I TAKING MY SUPPLEMENTS AND EXERCISING? THESE ARE SOME OF THE QUESTIONS THAT I GO THROUGH ON A DAILY BASIS, EVEN UNCONSCIOUSLY WHEN I GO THROUGH A DAY. MY FEARS ARE COMPULSIVE EATING, OR GAINING BACK THE WEIGHT AGAIN AND MORE. THATS THE USUAL EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD WITH ALL THE DIETS I'VE DONE. BUT THIS TIME, ITS A LIFESTYLE... NOT A DIET.  MY POUCH WILL REMAIN INSIDE AND I WILL HAVE THE BEST TOOL AVAILABLE TO LOSE THIS WEIGHT AND KEEP IT OFF AND CONTINUE TREATING MYSELF THE RIGHT WAY. I KNOW WITH YOUR HELP, IN THIS QUEST, WE, TOGETHER CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN.  I THANK GOD FOR HIS ANSWER TO MY PRAYER AND HIS STRENGTH WHEN I AM WEAK.  TAKE CARE AND KNOW WE ARE IN THIS TOGETHER!  GAIL.
