Sinai Hospital, NYCrnrnNice demeanor, took time to talk to mernrnIt has improved, he has consistently returned all messages to me promptly even calling me at home.rnNot too good so far, having difficulty with the Surgical Nurse to confirm my daternNothing so farrnWilling to listen and will do open surgery if necessaryrnNot much, but this is my second time around and he volunteered to get me a nutritionist if necessaryrnNo unfortunatelyrnMostly he was concerned I would stroke again and begged me not to- not he was open and honest about the possible problemsrnSo far, he is a 9.5rnDon't know yet, I guess time will tellrnrnrnDr. Gagner completed another revision of my RNY on July 11, 2005. He is incredibly competent and has a great staff BUT it is very difficult to find him. There were some problems throughout the past year and he was away for quite a bit of them (all medically related I am sure), but that left me in limbo several times and with no definite answers. As of now, I am scheduled for my 3rd hernia repair on July 5, 2006 and Dr. Gagner would like me to NOW consider doing a Lap Band to increase the weight loss (something I am concerned about because I have found I am capable of eating and the pouch is intact). His staff has tried to assist in everyway possible, but he is not around to answer the basic questions that every patient has - and that is disconcerting! This will be my 4th time attempting to get this right! Dr. George Fielding will be doing a revision to my current RNY and will fix my hernai - third repair for the hernia and 4th bariatric surgery. I am feeling very hopeful that this time will work - Dr. Fielding has assembled a complete team for me to insure that the procedure goes smoothly - last one caused a stroke - let's hope this one is a little easier! Surgery is on June 13th at NYU - think of me if you can! THANKS!
