Surgeon Testimonial Garth Davis M.D. Dr. Davis was not what I had expected after watching 'Big Medicine'. He was professional, no nonsense and confident. He asked if I had any questions and the question that I did have was more of a concern or worry. He answered my question and told me not to worry. With the confidence that he exhibited that worry was alleviated at that moment. What more could a person ask for? He is serious about follow up care and support meetings and rightfully so. Tonight along with my 11 y/o daughter I attended yet another weight loss seminar. I have tried three times to have the surgery with out sucess. It is my opinion that my height of 5'10" hurts not helps me. I now weigh 280lbs, that gives me a BMI just over 40. My daughter and debated about the surgery on the way to Methodist hospital. At her ripe old age she thinks that the procedure is an extreme method of weight reduction. I tried hard to describe to her what being morbidly obese was like.........all she could say was.....like the mom on "Hairspray", I said yea, I don't want to be like that.
