3/28/05 - I have been thinking about having WLS for about a year or more. I finally went for a seminar and consultation last Thursday. There were so many women there for the support group that meets twice a week in the docs office. TO see these women come in at various post op stages was amazing. It was hard to believe that some of them were ever overweight - but the before and after pictures don't lie. I am now waiting to hear from my insurance company whether they will cover the surgery. The center where I am having it (if I have it) is my insurance company's selected center for WLC so we'll see. I have a feeling that they will deny it because of the type of policy it is but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
