I Hit 50!!!
Age? No!!!! Pounds!!!!    8 of the 50 were right before surgery, but a pound is a pound and I am claiming it!  So the total is 50 and after wls 42!  I started out almost busting out of a size 24 and am in an 18 now!  Thursday will be 10 weeks since surgery.

While researching my wls, I heard a lot about how wls puts stress on a marriage.  My thoughts on that ---I think if you have a good marriage, it makes it better.  If you have a bad marriage, it makes it worse.  My husband is really enjoying the extra energy I have from the pounds being gone!  I am also able to get my big butt up and do more with the kids.    Every moment is precious and I don't want their lives to go by and me miss out, because of lack of energy.

Goal weight.....hmmm....I set a goal at 140.  I am starting to wonder if I set a realistic goal.  Yes, of course I would love to be at 140, but is it realistic?  Would I be too skinny? Can I obtain it...of course I can, but do I want to???  I am 5'6" and 3/4.  Yes, I would round up to 5'7", but I slouched in the doctor's office, to make sure I would qualify for surgery.  Guilty as charged!!!  I didn't put sandbags in my bra, though!!!  I saw that post and nearly fell out laughing!!!  That is classic!
There I go chasing rabbits again!  Back to my previous thought...I have had 3 kids and my body is a lot different now than it used to be.  i don't think I am going to concentrate so much on a goal weight, but more on the size I am in.  I think (but I have the right to change my mind) that I would be happy in a size 9/10, at the very lowest a 7/8.  Whatever the weight may be at those sizes.  If I got any smaller than that, it may look awkward on my bone structure.  WOW!!!  I NEVER thought like this before wls!!!!  I never saw these sizes as attainable!  It is funny...when I go shopping now, I usually by pants that are too tight for me, because I know they will fit soon.  The ones that fit, I stay away from, because I know that in a few weeks I won't be able to wear them! I did that one time during one of my "diet" phases and never made it into them!

Hahaha I can so relate about the pants sizes. Nearly everything in my closet is a teeny bit too tight but like you said I just have to give it a couple weeks!
