Just passing through hoping that all went successful. You will be fine just follow your physicians advise. Take it slow and one day at a time. After the third month you will feel a bit more like yourself and really notice a difference and will be ready to shop!!!

~My name is Cathy I am a mother of two wonderful teenage sons 15 & 17. I have begun my journey and now each moment will hopefully be better than the last. I am scared who can say they honestly are not. I will take each appointment as they come and I will embrace all that would like to share their experiences with me. I do pray after all I go through with Pre-op my insurance company will accept me for the surgery. I pray everyday for things to follow through and I can only hope for the best~

Been a long time since I started my journey. It began in 2008 when I started all my nutrition appointments bloodwork etc.The waiting process was definitely a long one but worth it all. I can definitely say this has been an amazing journey for me. I feel so much healthier,I live for the day now where before I lived to try to pull myself out of bed by rolling out of it. The asthma has definitely settled down I have only used my inhaler a few times since the surgery but I have noticed I haven't used it at all in the last few months. No more cpap machine. My energy level is through the roof and I am so happy I have it all now. I worry about the cold winter months praying I don't get lazy cause it is so cold outside. So I will be setting myself a workout plan and praying I stick to it. Definitely have my tae bo tapes and once I get a car I will definitely be joining a gym because walking in the snow is not something I want to deal with. I also have my workout coach on my sons wii system so I know that will come back into play as well. So as far as my goals not exactly where I want to be but I know I have come a long way so I will definitely be thankful I have come this far.

Changes
on September 14, 2009 9:15 am
Changes are happening and I am finally starting to see me for me and not what I use to see. I still at times see the hugely obese girl but yet at times I see a woman who is getting healthier and has more energy. I look at my month to month pictures at times and see all the changes. But yes we all have those good and bad days and we go through what we go through. I have fifty-four more pounds to go and I am praying I will get to my goal.

Seven months out as of today and I am down seventy-five pounds. I feel I should be further ahead due to my messups for almost two months but I am not. I however am happy that this amount of weight has come off of me. I have learned to take my time eating again and I also wait thirty minutes after I eat to drink my fluids. That is where I have messed up previously. I am looking forward to more of this journey and get myself back onto track. I look at it this way about ten pounds per month and if I keep on doing what I am doing I should be at my goal weight hopefully by the end of this year. I have fifty six more pounds to go for my goal to be at one hundred forty-five and only thirty one more pounds to be at my surgeons goal weight of one hundred seventy.

Seeing my surgeon today
on August 19, 2009 4:37 am
Going to go see my surgeon today. Hopefully I am on the right track and he feels I am where I am suppose to be. I have gone through many ups and downs during this journey and I got myself back on track a few weeks ago after I spoke to my nutritionist.Just looking forward to hearing some good news not anything that will make me stressed.

This journey has been a great one. I am so happy with all aspects of my life right now. I haven't used my inhaler for asthma in over two months.I am no longer using my c-pap machine and I certainly am not rolling out of bed anymore. I have more energy and my professional career is great. I have a man in my life that truely adores me for who I am and not what he wants me to be. I opened up to him and let him in and know about my surgery and why things are the way they are. He helps me out so much. He goes for walks for me he watches what I eat and when I have those cravings he helps me out and reminds me is that something you sincerely want and 9 times out of 10 I end up eating my yoplait yogurt. He has gotten to help me eat pork and fish he's a great cook some foods I stayed away from. But knowing I need protein and all I try foods and they are actually good. Here are some before and after photos I tend to be hard on myself I still see the huge obese girl. But pictures don't lie and I know I am seriously making progress.
