It's been awhile......
on September 18, 2008 6:42 pm
It's been some time since I have been here. I am very happy and enjoy my life now. I have lost 52lbs and the scale is still going down.  Life has been great. I have to put some pictures up so I can show you my new look. I had my surgery back in April 08 and it's been great. I will come back here more often to chart my progress..... tHANKS for still checking on me.

Back on track.....
on July 6, 2008 6:30 pm
I am back. For a while I kind of fell off for a minute. I wasn't doing the things that I should have been doing according to what I was suppose to be following. Now I am drinking my protein shakes and eating my soy nuts and things are going well. I lost 3lbs in this last week and it feels great. Little by little I will reach my goal. I must remain focus and do the things I need to achieve my goal.

Going Good.....
on June 6, 2008 4:47 pm
Things have been going well for me. Since the heat outside has been so high I haven't been outside walking as much as I should. But I have been trying to go to different places inside and get my walking in for the day.
I feel well and the weight is coming off and I am very happy.

Starting things to early.....
on May 18, 2008 1:21 pm
I may have started getting back into my routine a little to soon. My incision is healing but I may have starting back a little to soon cause my stomach hurts really bad. Maybe cause I am using muscles that I haven't been using. So I have to slow things down and give my body a chance to heal and then go back to trying the things that I was doing.
So a little walking at a time until things are better.
Keep you posted........

Doctor's visit.....
on May 13, 2008 1:38 pm
I went back Monday for my first check up and I got a good report. I have lost 17 lbs since my surgery(two weeks ago) and I feel great.  I had my staples removed and I feel much better. Still trying my hand at adding different foods back into my diet and it is a little hard at time trying to get in my protein and my water but I am doing my best. I never could have imagined in a million years that I would be feeling as good as I do. I didn't know what to expect and I was afraid. Life is always full of challenges  and I am ready for them. I am going to start a walking program so that I may get more walking into it and I pray that I continue to do as well as I am doing right now.
So here is to new beginnings.....

My Story

Hi... My name is Venice and I am obesed !!! I am about to embark on a journey that will change my life forever. On April 29,2008 I will be have a gastric sleeve done. I currently weight 290lbs and I am 5'3. Being 42years old I have always stuggled with my weight all my life and after many failed diet attempts I realized that I needed more help. I am a single parent of 2 children (daughter 25 son 21) and the Gmomma of 3beautiful grandchildren (Charli 4, CJ 3 and Cheyenne 1) They are the love of my life and because of them I decided to have this surgery so that I can be around for them. I want to be able to enjoy seeing them run around and we play together. Right now I just can't do all I would like to do with them.  I have a love for the outdoors but haven't been spending much time out there because of getting tired easily.
I have decided that this year 2008 was going to be my year and I was going to take back control of my life and begin to live it to the fullest. This means.... 1. Getting baptized in the faith of one of Jehovah Witnesses. 2. Loosing this the battle of this weight gaining roller coaster ride once and for all. 3. Actively socialize more and possibly finding Mr. Right out there. All these thing are possible with  a new attitude and postive out look on life that I currently do not have. I am truly looking foward to the new beginnings that life has to offer and I will take control of it and live my life to the fullest.
I ask that you pray for me and with me to achived my new goals.

Thanks for listening.....
