Surgeon Testimonial

Farouck Obeid, M.D.
Dr. Obeid is a terrific doctor. He took the time to make me feel comfortable. My surgery went great. After the surgery, he really made my husband feel at ease. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to have this procedure.

Greetings! I had Laproscopic RNY Gastric Bypass on January 29, 2007. So far, I've had only minor complications (Thank God!). As I write this, I'm 4 1/2 months out. I had a deficiency in B1 and had to get weekly shots for 1 month. I'm now taking 2 multivitamins every day, plus 4 Citrical, 1 B1, 1 Biotin, 1 Prevacid.

Losing Again
on May 19, 2009 9:05 am
I turn 30 in a couple days. I feel like I have found a new lease on life. I'm in the process of divorcing my husband. I realized that I had been trapped in a bad marriage for a long time. I'm much happier now. I even have a new boyfriend. My weight is finally starting to move again. I'm at 166 currently. I just bought some size 10 jeans! My original goal was 165, now I really would like to make it to 150.

I've been within 10 pounds for well over a year. No major issues. Still some random stuff makes me dump. I had a couple times last year that I got really sick. Steak was the culprit at least once. But, I finally at steak again at New Year's and no problem this time. I'd still like to see that goal of 160, hopefully I can do that this summer. Winter takes a lot out of me. This morning, I weighed in at 179. I'm ok with that.

It's been a year! I had my doc's appointment yesterday. It went well. I had my first good cholesterol reading EVER! I need to drink more (aren't I peeing enough already?) I also need to separate my multi-vitamin and calcium more. But, overall, things are great. Woohoo! A year ago, I was 283 pounds wearing a tight size 24. Today, I weigh 172 and wear a comfortable if not loose size 12. I'd still like to get to 150, but that probably wont happen until spring when I am more motivated to exercise in the warmer weather.
