Surgeon Testimonial

Farouck Obeid, M.D.
Dr. Obeid is a terrific doctor. He took the time to make me feel comfortable. My surgery went great. After the surgery, he really made my husband feel at ease. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to have this procedure.

Greetings! I had Laproscopic RNY Gastric Bypass on January 29, 2007. So far, I've had only minor complications (Thank God!). As I write this, I'm 4 1/2 months out. I had a deficiency in B1 and had to get weekly shots for 1 month. I'm now taking 2 multivitamins every day, plus 4 Citrical, 1 B1, 1 Biotin, 1 Prevacid.

6 weeks post op
on March 15, 2007 7:38 am
I haven't gotten sick at all. I'm doing better at eating more things. My weight had stalled for about a week and a half and then started dropping again. That was a week ago. Then, over the weekend, unfortunately, I didn't eat the way I'm supposed to and since then, my weight is stalling again. I went to the doc and at least for the first six weeks I've averaged the weight loss that I'm supposed to. But, if it keeps going with this trend, I won't end up with much loss for the second 6 weeks.

Things are continuing to improve every day. Yesterday was the first day that I didn't take any pain medicine at all. I'm really looking forward to better food.

I've been home since Wednesday evening. Things seem to be progressing smoothly. Since the surgery, I've lost 6 pounds. As long as the pain stays manageable, I'm happy. I'm on several prescriptions right now. Today is really the first day that I've felt like spending any time on the computer.

The day before surgery
on January 28, 2007 7:12 pm

I had my Lasik eye surgery on Jaunary 23, 2007. I love that I can now see, and I don't have to worry about waking up after surgery not knowing where I am or who is around me.

As I write this, my surgery is tomorrow morning. I'll be glad to get this next couple of weeks over with.
