Trying to get excited again..................

I went to the surgeon's office yesterday and talked to him. Thank God he said I didn't have to do all of the pre-op testing again. The only thing I need to have done again is my blood work. I'm trying to get excited again. All of the issues I went through with the insurance company kinda got me down. I guess the closer I get to my date the better I will feel, and I will feel like this is FINALLY happening. I just want to thank all of my OH friends for all of the words of encouragement. You helped me not to give up on the process. Until next post...................PEACE AND HAIR GREASE Y'ALL!!!!!!!!!

APPROVED AGAIN!!!!!

My surgeon's office mailed my letter of appeal last week and I received a letter in the mail Friday stating my denial was reversed and I am now able to proceed with the Lap Band procedure.......YEAH!!!!! I now have a new date......September 23. I know it's a long time from now but I have definately learned patience through this whole process. I am soooo excited!!! So the countdown begins again.......until next post.......SMOOCHES!!!! Sexy

3 Months done!!!!

Okay, so I've done my 3 months medically supervised weightloss program. How frustrating!!! I sometimes wonder why these insurance companies have you jump through so many hoops. Well I really tried to take off some pounds. I lost and gained the same 10 pounds over the last 3 months. I am just really tired and really pray that this surgery will give me the help I need. I am really tired of being fat. All of my paperwork is being submitted to my new insurance company this week, so hopefully I will know of the status before the end of this week.......until then.......Smootches!!! Sexy

Insurance update

So here's the deal with my new insurance carrier....I have to have 3 months of weight loss attempts, but my weight watchers history is not good enough. It has to be supervised by a medical doctor. I was a little dissappointed, but at least its not another six months. Dr. Halmi's office is putting me on the books for a July surgery. I am just happy to know that July is not that far away and that I will be approved once my insurance receives this info. Until then I will do what I always do......stay busy!!

DENIED??????

So I got a call from Dr. Halmi's office and they told me the new insurance company denied me.........WHAT?????? I immediately went to my HR department, because according to them nothing should have changed with the insurance company except the name. It's all now being researched by the insurance company, because even they are saying that it shouldn't been denied if I had already been approved by the previous company......so I wait. Oh yeah, my surgery for tomorrow.......CANCELLED!!! What a disappointment. Hopefully, my next post will be better news, so until then..................PEACE!!!!
