Well, next week Thursday I will go to my 1st consultation.......man, am I excited.  I really don't know what to expect.  I do know however, that they sent me this thick packet to have completed when I come in.  With all those questions it made me realize that I am a pretty healthy person except for the weight.  The only real issue that I'm dealing with is my knees.  I went to my doctor's office to have my knees looked at because they kept stiffening, he told me that the cartledge was deteriorating(did I spell that right?).  He said the only was to reverse this was to lose the weight.  That was over 3 years ago.  I was able to get my weight down to around 210, but I gained it all back and then some when I was tired and frustrated from feeling like I was starving ALL the time.  That's why I've decided this band will be just the assistance i need to get the weight off.  I appreciate the people on this site who are brutually honest about their journeys.  It shows me the realities of having this surgery and that this band is only a tool in assisting me with getting and keeping the weight off.  I AM SOOOO READY FOR THIS!!!!!!  Until next blog.......................TOODLES!!!!!

I attended and enjoyed the seminar on Saturday, but they pretty much told me most of what I already learned from OH.  My DH attended with me for support (for real I needed him to take me because I didn't know how to get there..... lol).  He's always so supportive.  I am scheduled to go to my initial consult at the end of this month, but I found out that they just opened a new facility so I will give them a call first thing in the morning to see if I can get an earlier appointment.  So until then I am patienly waiting for my time..............I will keep you updated.
