Sorry to hear that
your surgery was
cancelled. I know
how heart breaking
it can be to get
your hopes up.
Don't let this
discourage you. It
is just a delay so
get with your
doctors and get
everything taken
care of so you can
continue your WLS
journey. Best
wishes.
Annette
Virginia, I to want
express my best
wishes for you. I
am so sorry that
they had to cancel
you surgery today,
but your Dr knows
that you would not
want to go into
surgery and be at a
greater risk then
usual. My prayers
are with you and
hopefully in 4 to 6
weeks you will be in
there having your
WLS. Dan
Hi, my Name is Virginia M., Ginny, for short and I signed in as an OH memer back in April. I had been thinking about having weight loss surgery since my 2 sisters went to Mexico last February and had it done. I was in Florida at the time so I went to a Seminar concerning the surgery. After that information that I was given my husband and I got on the internet to check out the state of Indiana for doctors and hospitals. Eventually I found a hospital, St. Vincent's at Carmel, was a "Center of Excellence" and I felt pretty sure that my insurance and medicare would pay for it. I went through all the processess necessary to be approved and was given the go ahead for surgery on August 23, 2006. At that time I had not had a stress test done and I was waiting for that, when I finally did have the stress test I didn't pass it, and my surgery was delayed. I had a blockage in my heart and they needed to do angioplasty and put in a stint. After that and waiting six weeks more I finally had the surgery on November 7. I am now out 7 days and learning all kinds of ways to get my protien down. I am having a little bit of trouble getting it all in. I was afraid that they would not do this surgery on a 65 year old woman but they did and I am looking forward to getting into better shape and better health.
