Surgeon Testimonial

Peter Huang MD.
My Surgeon was amazing!rnI couldn't find a lot on OH about him most people have Dr Todor or Dr Clough, but I had read and heard some good things about Dr Haung, he was friendly professional, took time to answer any questions I had, was down to earth about the risks, and was respectful to my partner on the day of my surgery, I would recomend him to anyone who was looking into this, My surgery was on October 31st at around 11 am and I was released at 10am on the 2nd, Touch wood all is fine, he did an amazing job!

Two Months after surgery
on December 30, 2008 6:44 pm
It seems like a lot longer, I have hit my first major stall, I have been 287 since december 23 it sucks butt I must admit, I know, I know, I am whining over silliness, but geez it brings all the insecurities back out even when you KNOW that you are gonna have stalls.

At least i'm not gaining as I would have in the past, I love my RNY!!!

One month after surgery
on November 30, 2008 5:44 pm
It's been a tough month, I have to admit that.

But after a starting weight of 341 I am now down to 298.6, I like that a lot. I am starting to see some of the things people talk about on the boards, one day foods sit great another day they make the pouch cranky!

I have discovered some new foods I really like that I hated before, Cottage cheese with Pineapple, some fish.

The gas pains are the worst though, i alays seem to have some sort of gas pains, and they hurt!!! LOL. I have tried eating and drinking every way I can, today I bought straws I am gonna see if that will help stop the gas I get when I am sipping! Bring on month 2!

Approved and scheduled!
on October 7, 2008 10:45 am
I went for my surgeon appointment last Thursday and got a call today that the insurance and been authorized and that my surgery date would be October 31st, my fav day of the year, Halloween!

Now the jitters are setting in, the liquid diet starts next week and I am starting to get the second guessing syndrome, do I really want this? What if...?

It will be fine, and yes I want it bad!

My Story

Wow, my story...... I have always been a big guy, easy o loose weight much easier to put it back on plus some. After researching OH and lurking a lot I made up my mind to do the surgery and am very excited about my decision. I am a 47 year old guy and live with my Husband Glenn and our adopted son Dylan in a small town called Presque isle in Maine....Wayyyyy up near the Canadian border. It is a wonderful place to raise a child but is a big culture shock for us coming from Los Angeles CA, and me also being originally from Sydney Australia. I love it here, though it has taken some getting used to, ESPECIALLY THE SNOW! LOL Well that's an abreviated version of my story, I can't wait to start to blog!!
