I am at two fills and I am on my way!

May 20, 2008

Ok, so I had my second fill last Thursday and folks, I think we have a winner! I am so excited. I have lost about 3 lbs since my fill, I can TELL that I am losing inches from my exercise. The energy level that I feel is OUT OF THIS WORLD and I am thanking God each and every day for it all. The one thing that I can say is, if you stick with the plan that is laid before you by your doctor and the rules are followed, you WILL lose weight. There is nowhere else to go but down. I mean it! I am sure that I will read this about a year from now and be like what was I on... being so motivational and all but I will remember that it is the Power that I have inside that makes it all possible.

I really am thankful and I am feeling fine. A little side note...I sent my husband an email with a picture of an outfit that I plan to get for my one year bandiversary. It was a size 14, denim, HALTER jumpsuit. Now I know that if I get in that in a year, I will have TRULY reached a goal!

Fifteen things that I have learned since surgery...

May 13, 2008

1. that you have to eat to lose weight...when you don't your metabolism slows and weight stays
2. that you have to exercise
3. that eating protein first really does make a difference (thanks Faith T. !)
4. that this board really is a good source of information and encouragement
5. that you can not listen to what people that HAVE NOT had weight loss surgery have to say about what you are eating
6. that some days are going to be better than others with both eating, exercise and mood
7. that I am stronger than I think (mentally, physically AND emotionally)
8. that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the WORD OF GOD...basically, faith comes by hearing and acting upon the word of God - this goes a long way in the early stages of weightloss surgery :)
9. that a pedometer really is a good source of motivation
10. that getting my water in is easier if I take my water bottle with me EVERYWHERE I go...not just exercising
-that
11. that I do have a rib cage :)
12. that no matter what, I must keep it moving
13. that some friends will only be around for a "season" not a lifetime
14. that God is the source of my strength
15. that my husband is my best friend

Still hanging out at the same weight :(

May 06, 2008

Ok, I try not to speak negative things but I have had one fill, lost about 2-3 lbs after and now I am right back where I started..wanting to eat the larger portions. I am sure that it happens and reading through other profiles..it will but it gets a little frustrating. I planned to be down another 25 lbs by the end of this month and I started this goal a month ago! I go to see the doctor next Thursday so maybe I will get another fill or, together, we can come to a decision on what I can do better. I have been working out faithfully every morning for an hour and this and last week eating mostly soups. Thanks for listening...God bless.
