Step one

Well I finally convinced my family physician to refer me to the Centre of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery at the Vic. My previous attempts at asking him for professional help, he didn't think that I was "big enough"! But I told him that I my BMI is 44! Looking forward to hearing from them!

Good for you Rosanna. Sometimes you gotta force their hand, it's your body ! It's too bad you can't self refer. But you are referred ! I look forward to hearing that you hear from them. Best wishes and hugs !

I felt this way, I was told the same years ago and I knew where I was headed. Where I am today another 50 pounds heavier. I needed help then but I didn't "qualify". I still need help but now the numbers match.
