1 month visit--215#. That's down 32 in 1 month since surgery and 42 total. Dr. Dan and his staff are so supportive and encouraging. There is not much pain anymore. The only side effect of this surgery is some minor numbness in my left upper leg which the dr said is normal and will come back. I occasionally feel like someone has snapped a rubberband in that area so I do feel that it is working towards coming back. Otherwise, no complaints except that I have to return to work next week. I really do like my job but have enjoyed this time off. (and it makes them miss me!) I am having trouble using my CPAP, it blows my mouth open and I get awakened with a very dry mouth. I don't want to have a sleep study at this point because I have high hopes of getting off of it eventually so when I get back to work (at the hospital) I will ask the dr if we can just turn it down a few notches and see if that works for now. My husband says the snoring is not as bad but I have sleep apnea so I want to continue until that is better. As far as appearance, I can tell in my face and abdomen. My clothes are too big but I roll up the pants and tie them tighter. I bought some scrub pants on ebay to get me through work and am fitting into the XL now, was in 2XL. I make all my scrubs and will be able to take them in for a while. My diet is progressing and I have had no problems with any foods. I tried tuna and a little miracle whip yesterday and also some ground beef. (always chew chew chew) VERY GOOD TO EAT ALITTLE BIT OF NORMAL FOOD! Til next time, best of luck to upcoming surgery people. Mel
Hey, they should make these Smileys thinner!
