Surgeon Testimonial

William S. Richardson
HE'S THE BEST! I had read so many other profile impressions of Dr. Richardson, that I thought I had a pretty good idea going in of who I would be meeting. Indeed, he was as described: personable and caring. While being direct, he was also very compassionate. He is the Director of Laporascopic Surgery at one of the region's leading hospitals. He graduated from Harvard Medical School and has been practicing at Ochsner since 1997. I was also very impressed with his staff. They are very motivated and dedicated to their professions.

Life is So Much Sweeter
on April 12, 2007 7:07 am
Here it is - the one year anniversary of my laproscopic RNY surgery.  Pre-op, I lived on this website and dreamed about one day being one of the losers I read about.  Thought I knew exactly what to expect... but NOTHING could have prepared me for how life changing this surgery is.  I would like to think that I am the same person I was before this surgery, but that is not true.  The new confidence I have found has transformed every aspect of my life.  Being healthier has changed my whole lifestyle.  I have an inner peace that I will NEVER return to my old habits.  Good food choices and exercise are the new habits that I embrace.  Not to say I don't indulge on a forbidden fruit now and then, but it is now the exception and done in moderation.  This post would not be complete without a shout out to OH.  Pre-op, this board was a constant source of knowledge and inspiration.  Post-op, it was invaluable answering my newbie questions and continues to educate and inspire me.  If you are pre-op and considering this surgery, I can only tell you that my experience has been nothing short of miraculous!  Wishing all of my OH friends the best, Lisa
