Surgeon Testimonial Malcolm Robinson, M.D. My first impression was he is very nices person answer all my question. Dr. Robinson really cares about his patients . He sat down and talk to me about the risks and the benerfit of the wls. I dont feel rush at all the staff was kind too. Jennifer is his sercetary and she call me back everytime I left a messages.I talk to her about a surgery date but she needed my file first and it was not there so she said she will call me back when she gets them and she did first thing the next morning with my surgery date. I like the fact that they follow your prograss for 5 or more year. I would rate Dr. Robinson and his staff A+ +. Member Interests

My Story The visit wiht Dr. Robinson went well, I was seen on time and asks alot of questions. Which was good cause you need every detail covered when it comes to surgery. He also told me to lose 25-30 pound before surgery. I am 282 and 5'3. I was 280 I don't know how I gained 2pd I really need to start watching my weight better. He was very nice to me. I feel very comfortable with him as my surgeon.
Nov. 10 2006 I got a call from jennifer which is his secratery to make an appointment to get my psych evaluation its the 13 of this month. Actully most of my appointment is this month. My upper GI is the 21 and I see the nutritionist later that day. I have a ultersound on the 24. I have to go to my supervised diet program on the 22. Its required for me to do a 6 month supervised diet program for the insurance in order to have the gastric bypass approved. This is my second month 4 more to go. I see my pcp on Jan 11 2007 to get my referral. Then I see Dr. Robinson on Jan 29 2007 at 1:30 to set a date for surgery. I will be finish with my supervised diet program on March 14 2007. Then they will submitt my paper work and wait for the approval. I call ahead of time to make sure that mass health covers it they do. The lady I was talking to told me just submitt all of the requirement and there shouldn't be any problem. I was also talking to some people who have the same insurance and they really never had any problems getting approved am not worried at all. I just want to get the surgery now. Pray for me in hope that every thing goes well.
When for my psych evaluation today I'm not crazy. Nov. 21 2006 I when for the upper gi and to see the nutritionist today. The upper gi test I had to drink this stuff that taste like yuck! Everything was fine. They wish me good luck what nice people they were.The nutritionist Nathaly is the person that I go to for the supervised diet program. That is great I didn't have to talk to another stranger and she was kind like all the rest of them were. We talk about what I have to do before and after the surgery. I had my pshyc visit, had the upper gi done saw the nutritionist. I just need the referral and I go to the diet program tomorrow Nov 22 and Dec 13 that will make 3 month with 3 to go. I will update you when I know my surgery date and when I get approved. Dec. 13 2006 I went to the supervised diet program today and I gain 3pd from the last visit. I though I was doing okay. I guess I was wrong I feel like I could of just cry, but I know what I have to do. I dont want them to think I am not serious I told Nathaly I will be back on Dec 27 they hold two classes a month. Then get weight in ,but this time I will be weighting 275 until then I will update you on my weight. 3 supervised diet program visit down 3 more to go the next one is Jan 10 2007. Wish me luck and pray for me. Dec. 27 2007 I went to get weight today I was 284 Iam back to 280 at less Im not gaining even those. I lost the same 3-4pd I just gain. I still feel good about it well until next time.
Jan. 10 2007 I went to my fourth diet program meeting 2 more to go. I weight drum roll please 270 I think I did good, but you know what would be better is 258, but I will have to work at it. I got a call today from jennifer the secratery to cancel my appointment with Dr. Robinson just until next monday Feb. 5 that gives me more time to loss some more weigth I need 7 to 12 pds gone. Dr. Robinson said at least 15 to 20 by your next appointment I loss 10 on they record but I started my diet a week before I didnt know you have to do weigth in my weigth was 285 so real I loss 15, but that not what they have that okay. The goal here is weigth loss it dont matter where I started 258 is were I would like to be at. When (Jan 11 2007 )today to see my pcp for my referral they said they will fax it over. They gave me a number to call to see if they any problem or updates. I loss 8pds 7 more to go.
Feb. 5 2007 when to see Dr. Robinson I lost 13pd he told me to call Jennifer to get a date. Everything went fine. Supervised diet program number 5 on the 14 of this month.
Feb. 7 2007 I got a call for jennifer today, I got a date April 19, but if I got approved the first week in April that I will get the day I wanted which is April 11 cause its my children school vaction. They have 10 day off it will come in handle. I thought it was the 19 went school vaction started but it the 12 I ask for the 19 but sinces I can change it when I get approved so that it okay. My girls are 15 and 7 my son one yr. So they can help me with they brother for those days and then there father will take over. I will up date you on went I get approved. Feb. 14 2007 I went to my 5th class today. I weigth 267 not to bad if I do say so myself. HAPPY VALENTINE DAY.
Mar. 14 2007 It seem like yesterday I just started now I did the 6 months supervised diet program its the waiting game now let dance. I weigth in at 270 ,but that okay cause its that time of the month. April 6 2007

April 11 2007 Well I am off to the hospital my surgery time is 1pm pray for me. my weigth in at 275.
April 16 2007 I had my surgery on time it went smooth as ever. I hated the tube in my nose they took it out in the morning at 7am, I was thanking god for that cause the tube is in your throat for your nose and it made me sick when I talk. I would to thank chanda and other friend and family for the support and calls. The nurses was very very very kind so your stay will be good for who ever is going to Brigaram & Woman for they wls. April 25 2007 When for my two week check up and I weight 250 I lost 30 pds over all 10pds before wls and 20pds after. May 8 2007 When to my 4 weeks check up I weight 247 My starting weighting 282 5/18/07 1 month total lose (-28) 5/15/07 5 weeks 243 (-4) 5/22/07 6 weeks 243 (-3) 5/29/07 7 weeks 237 (-3) 6/5/07 2 month total lose (-10) over all weight lose (-45) 6/12/07 9 weeks 234 (-3) 6/19/07 10 weeks 234 (-0) 6/26/07 11 weeks 230 (-4) 7/3/07 3 month total lose (-7) 7/10/07 13 weeks 220 (-10) 7/17/07 14 weeks 220 (-0) 7/24/07 15 weeks 220 (-0) 7/31/07 4 month total lose 217 (-3) 8/7/07 17 weeks 217 (-0) here we go again 8/14/07 18 weeks 217(-0) 8/21/07 19 weeks 215(-2) 8/28/07 5 month total lose -2 I have the dates wrong 9/11/07 makes it 5 month not that it would change the fact that I m still 215.
