4 Years Out!
on April 15, 2012 5:08 am
How can that be??  I'm happily maintaining right around 155, HALF of the old me!  It's not easy, I walk an hour 5 days a week, and do resistance training - not as much as Ishould - busy with life, as we all are.  Sometimes I eat the wrong things and suffer the consequences - like last night, Dairy Queen Paenut Buster Parfait.  I know better, but ate half of it  it anyway, and had a bad bout of dumping syndrome - gas, sweating, rapid heart rate...when will I ever learn?   I just have to do better today - keep on going one day at a time!

2 years out!
on April 15, 2010 9:38 am
I happy to say, I'm 2 years post op gastric bypass, and doing amazingly well!  I've lost 170 lbs. and am currently 5 pounds below my goal.  I had plastic surgery in December - brachioplasty and panni.  Truthfully, the arms were much harder than I expected, and the tummy much easier.  Now at 4 months post-op from that, I can say I'm thrilled with the results and feel so good!  I just had a vacation in the Dominican Republic and snorkled for the first time.  We are getting ready for a cruise in May, and plan to do many things we've never been able to do before.  My husband is one year out after gastric bypass, and has lost 113 pounds - we truely are NEW people.  We thank God for this life altering surgery!

Hello Friends
on March 19, 2008 12:00 pm
I've been reading OH for a few weeks but this is my first time to post my thoughts.  I've already gotten so much information and encouragement from this site, and I thank you all for that.  I'm 3.5 weeks from RNY and quite nervous about it, but everyday, I check the forum and it helps me be brave!  Thanks for that!
