Surgeon Testimonial

Alan A. Saber, MD, FACS
My first impression of Dr. Saber was that he was a quite, but caring man. I can say that he answered any questions that I had and he made sure I didn't have any more questions or concerns before I left the office. I have been going through all the testing and hope to get an answer about surgery sometime in early November. I will post more as time gets closer. Can't wait for my date, I am very confident in Dr. Saber's ability.

Tuesday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench!

WOW!!! What a difference!!!
on November 19, 2008 9:20 am

I have an update..   I have weighed myself and have lost to date 103 pounds.  I never thought this would happen in the 11 months since surgery.  I feel so different.  BETTER.  Nothing hurts anymore.  This journey was definely worth starting.  Yes, Starting because my journey will go on forever and that is ok because each day is new and will be better than the day before if I make it better.  I will update the next time I get a chance, but for now HAPPY LOSING!!!

Still Losing
on April 23, 2008 12:31 pm
I am 4 months out and I am still losing.  I have lost a total of 80 pounds and am feeling great.  I recently took my teenage kids to Disney for the first time and I rode every single ride.  The bar on each ride actually went down and I had room enough to breath.   Wow what a great feeling that was.  Especially when the kids had to keep up with me.  That has never happened before.  I am really glad I had surgery.  It is the best gift I could have given myself.  I know look at life as if "Yes I Can"  instead of no maybe I shouldn't.  I am doing things that I never have done before and trying things over that I have failed at before surgery.  LIFE IS GREAT and I AM NOW LIVING LIFE.  What an awesome feeling.

1month out
on January 12, 2008 7:32 am
I am 1 month out and feeling great.  I have lost 42 pounds which is amazing to me.  Although, I have not lost anything in a week I do believe I am loosing inches.  I have already had to go and buy new pants.  I just sat in the dressing room and cried.  I was so happy I knew I was in a different pant size, but I went down 4 sizes.  I could hardly believe it.  I have not been having any trouble with food just as long as I crew it well enough.  I am amazed how fast I use to eat before and how slow I eat now.  I really don't get hungry and have to remind myself to eat.  If I am busy I forget to eat.  Well I will post again.
