My name is Kim and I have struggled with my weight for years. I started having weight problems when I was in 3rd grade. I am now 37. I am going for a consult on Feb 15 at Dr. Warnock's office in Wichita Falls, Tx. I am hopeful and a little scared. I want to be a normal weight. I don't ever remember being normal weight. I am going to ask him which procedure he thinks will be best for me. I am thinking a gatric bypass because my BMI is 40.4 and I weigh 258. I am hopeful I can get the surgery done over the summer when school is out. I am a teacher and summer would be perfect.
I love theatre and reading. I also love going to the movies and hanging out with friends. I am single(divorced for 6 years) and I have one son, Caleb. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. He makes my life wonderful. We do alot of things together. Last year we went to Mexico and went snorkeling and the summer before that we went on a cruise. He is really at a great age now to do those types of things with. I am more active now than I was in my 20's and I think to myself: How active would I be without this extra weight? I intend to find out!!!
Needless to say I am hopeful. I am the eternal optimistic.
