How to Search This Site (Or any site) on August 24, 2010 12:15 pm
This version is straight from levittown_loser's profile.
How to Search This Site (Or any site)
1) Go to http://www.google.com and click the "Advanced Search" link
2) Enter the words or phrases for which you are searching, e.g., chewable vitamin
3) Decide which OH forum or forums you want to search. Go to the forum(s) and copy the URLs.
For example:
(Duodenal Switch Forum) http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/DS/
(LapBand Forum) http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/lapband/
(RNY Forum) http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/rny/
(Ontario Forum) http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/ON/
4) Enter the URL(s) in the field labelled, "Search within site or domain". Separate URLs by a comma.
5) Click the "Advanced Search" button. You will only see results from the OH forum(s) you specify.
Tips:
To search the entire OH site (every forum), just enter http://www.obesityhelp.com as the URL
Want to see ALL posts by a person (as opposed to only the Latests posts within the current forum)?
Search for their username and their location (found below their avatar). If you just specify their username, you will get their posts as well as all posts ABOUT them. (Some people are talked about more than they actually post!)

BMI "Normal" on July 27, 2010 12:21 pm
I'd been on a 165-167 yo-yo for about a full month. Today the scale dipped to 161 and repeated the result 2 minutes later so I'm claiming it. I'm under my surgeon's suggested goal, under 25 BMI, 6 lbs above my original goal, and one week short of my surgiversary.
The part of this I celebrate the most is that the scale can still move in the preferred direction.
Gotta love this DS!
BTW, I have been pretty good about carbs... Don't think I've ever exceeded 100 in a day, usually under 50, and I intend to keep it that way until I'm under my goal.

ONEDERLAND on January 13, 2010 2:53 pm
Down 76 pounds since my surgery on August 3rd, and feeling really great. Couch potato morphed into energizer bunny. Maybe a bit too manic???
Now also loving food again. Will post later with favorites.....

Recipe I want to try! on September 19, 2009 5:01 pm
If you like pancakes (like I do) you'll love this recipe. They are called cream cakes and their so easy you'll be shocked.
Cream Cakes
2/3 C. Heavy whipping cream
6 Eggs
Butter
Stir the eggs and cream together until well blended. Put butter in a small pan and fill the pan with just enough mixture to cover the bottom so they will be thin. It should make about 6 cakes. Top with butter and sugar-free syrup. After one or two of these you won't even feel hungry anymore for quite some time. I love these!

Two weeks out and loving it! on August 19, 2009 3:59 pm
I'm 16 days post-op now and having a pretty easy time of it. Spent only 2 nites in the hospital. Went home all ready off my pre-op meds. I have lost 18.5 lbs since surgery and am eating very little, my sleeve is smaller than I originally thought it would be. Dr.Rabkin told me just before surgery that he was going to make it 2 ounces. It utterly blows my mind how small my capacity is. A meal is 2-3 appetizer sized meatballs or crabcakes; 1 ounce of meat with 1 ounce of cheese. I'm drinking a lot of mint and ginger tea, and water too. Haven't yet seen anyone since before surgery, but will on Friday. My son says he can't yet tell the difference, but that's because he sees me every day.

My Story
I Believe...
That just because two people argue,
it doesn't mean they don't love each other.
And just because they don't argue,
it doesn't mean they do love each other.
I Believe...
That we don't have to change friends
if we understand that friends change.
I Believe...
That no matter how good a friend is,
they're going to hurt you every once in a while
and you must forgive them for that.
I Believe...
That true friendship continues to grow,
even over the longest distance.
Same goes for true love.
I Believe...
That you can do something in an instant
that will give you heartache for life.
I Believe...
That it's taking me a long time
to become the person I want to be.
I Believe...
That you should always leave loved ones
with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.
I Believe...
That you can keep going long after you think you can't.
I Believe...
That we are responsible for what we do,
no matter how we feel.
I Believe...
That either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I Believe...
That heroes are the people who do what has to be done
when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
I Believe...
That money is a lousy way of keeping score.
I Believe..That my best friend and I,
can do anything,
or nothing and have the best time.
I Believe...
That sometimes the people you expect
to kick you when you're down,
will be the ones to help you get back up.
I Believe...
That sometimes when I'm angry
I have the right to be angry,
but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
I Believe...
That maturity has more to do
with what types of experiences you've had
and what you've learned from them
and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.
I Believe...
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
I Believe...
That no matter how bad your heart is broken
the world doesn't stop for your grief.
I Believe...
That our background and circumstances
may have influenced who we are,
but, we are responsible for who we become.
I Believe...
That you shouldn't be so eager
to find out a secret.
It could change your life Forever.
I Believe...
Two people can look at
the exact same thing
and see something totally different.
I Believe...
That your life can be changed
in a matter of hours
by people who don't even know you.
I Believe...
That even when you think
you have no more to give,
when a friend cries out to you-
you will find the strength to help.
I Believe...
That credentials on the wall
do not make you a decent human being.
I Believe...
That the people you care about most
in life are taken from you too soon.
