Surgeon Testimonial

Robert Marvin, M.D.
Dr. Marvin is great! I met him on my 37th birthday...one week before my sugery. He answered all questions that I had before I had a chance to ask them. I felt that he was very thourough during the visit and after my surgery...well, I think he is the SURGEON CHAMP!!! Thank you Dr. Marvin for saving my life!

****Does everyone know that Dr. Marvin left Obesity Surgery Specialists?? He has his own practice down in the medical center.****

Tuesday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench! ~JudyAnne~

Milestones...
on April 11, 2008 8:10 am

Well, well...where to begin...it has been SO LONG since I have posted on here!!

Let's see...I finally had surgery on 1/8/08 and everything went VERY WELL.  I just celebrated my 3 month surgiversary and I must say I am very pleased with the results thus far.

As of today I've lost 70 lbs. that means I only have 100 lbs. to go before I reach my goal weight loss of 170 lbs.

I must be honest and say the road looked very long back in January but now I am sailing right through, month after month.  The only problems I am having really is vitamin deficiancy and protein.  Before the surgery I thought it would be a walk in the park to eat 60-70 grams of protein a day but after the surgery...it really is hard b/c even though something may have 12 grams of protein in it, I can't eat all of it!!  Sometimes that gets discouraging but not enough to regret the surgery.

I hope everyone reading this is doing well either on their journey to have the surgery or with your post op days...

God Bless-
Amy
