A Date is Set

Well a date is set. March 27th 08, No time yet. I have been on a liquid diet for almost 3 weeks. I get one small meal a day and 3 protein shakes, a lot of water. I was doing well until I went on this trip for my company. I found my self not being able to keep the schedule I wanted. And messed up one day, I ate too much. I had two meals that day. When I left the house I was down 14 LBS to 323 (On my Scale) from 337. I am back on track and will weigh myself when I get home on Wed the 21st. This pre diet was harder than I thought. I know it is for my best interest to complete it to not only show myself I can do this but to help shrink that darn liver. I am very nervous about the 27th. I can’t what until I talk to the surgeon’s office the 22nd when I get home and get the time of my surgery.

Well a lot has happened in the past year. I have had ups and downs. Fostering children has taken its toll on my wife and me but we have found a good match of kids; a baby boy 10 months old, an 8 and a 17 year old girl. I have completed all requirements and have been approved for my surgery. May 27 2008 is the magical day. I am starting my liquid diet on Monday the 11th. A little nervous and anxiety is high. Still walk but not as much. Need to ramp that back up.

One month down two to go!

 

 I went to my NUT for my one month checkup and I lost 13 pounds. I started at 356 and now I am at 343; about ½ lb a day. Not bad but I really miss real food. My wife has done real good she lost 20 pounds.  

 

On the exercise side I am up to walking 3 miles M-F in 66 Minutes, all aerobic. That is a 22 minute mile. Never thought I would reach that goal. I walk a total of 4 ½ to 5 miles a day.
