Hi I am new here

I am new to the site and thought I would write something here. I decided to check out this surgery in December. Ever since then I have gone through a lot of tests, groups, sessions and insurance. My insurance approved me in January and my doctors office set up my surgery for March 23rd. It seemed so far off and now March 23rd is tomorrow. YAY!!!!!!!! I can't wait to continue my journey of good health and weight loss. I hope to learn a lot from all of you. Thank you for this site.

My Story

Hi.....my name is Marie and I am going to have this surgery. I am a little bit scared and a lot anxious mixed with excitement. lol  My date is march 23rd, 2010. I have been obese since my mid 20's and that makes for one horrible life. I was at my goal weight once in 1989. This is when I met married my sweetheart and best friend. then the pounds starting adding on again. He is very supportive of my doing this. He wants me healthy and to be able to do things with him. I want the same things. I started my journey in December at the weight of 342. Now in march and on the pre-op diet I am 314. I am happy that I am losing some of it before the surgery. This means less for me to lose after. Also I am so happy my insurance is covering it. I would not be able to afford it otherwise. i don't know what else to say. If you want to know anything......just ask. lol

Tomorrow is my surgery day. March 23 and I am so excited. I can't wait to start my journey.
