Well got the call from the Good Samaritan  Dr / Surgeons office today. They scheduled my appt. for June 11th and 12th. I was hoping it would be sooner so it made for a downer of a day kind of. I've waited almost 3 yrs to hear that it was my turn to change my life so I guess it looks like i'll be waiting a few more months to do so. They scheduled two appts. The first one being an appt. for  a Fasting Blood Draw, EKG and Physician. The next days appt. is to see 4 different providers. The dietician, Physical Therapist, Psychologist and the Nurse Practicioner.  I will have to pay $148 out of pocket for this days visit they said. I did find out that since I have Medicare and Medicaid.. I will have to pay out of pocket $1500 to $2000. The out of pocket expense may be because I have a spend down with medicaid. I wont know for sure until my appt. I do know for sure though that Medicare only pays 80% they said. Overall I hope the wait will be worth it and that I will get back the life I have been so hoping to have.

Got my call today from Good Samaritan they said they had been trying to get ahold me since February but I havent had anything on my answering machine. Anyway none the less I got my call from them to make my appt. with the doctor/surgeon!! Yippee!!! Its been a LONG wait.. but hoping its FINALLY coming together for me!!
