Surgeon Testimonial

Phillip Hornbostel, M.D.
Dr. Hornbostel is amazing, he is very detail oriented and has an open door policy. He gives you his personal cell in case you have any issues after office hours and never makes you feel like you have a stupid question.rnMost of his office staff is wonderful, Ask for Margie, she is his right hand and his wife.rnThe only disapointment I had was, I had a gallstone before the surgery and he does not remove the gallbladder with the RNY. rnSo that is another surgery I have to look forward to. He just prefers to stay on the side of caution and do one procedure at a time.

6 Months Post Op
on July 31, 2008 7:04 am
I am really excited.  I am 6 months post op and down to 173 lbs.
Only 18 lbs to go to goal.   I am feeling a lot better about myself.  My husband came home for 2 weeks R&R and was pleasantly surprised to see me.  At least a slimmer me.  He left 2 months before my surgery.
It was a wonderful two weeks.  We went to 2 amusement parks with the kids and I didn't have to worry about squeezing into seats or waiting to sit in the middle of the roller coaster for the bigger seats.
Not as flexible as I use to be, but that will come with time.
I am looking to move to Louisiana, that is the scary part.  I am job hunting out of state which is a tougher than I thought, that and finding a place to call home and get the kids transfered to new schools is a bit overwhelming.   It is overwheming but exciting.
Lovin life!
