Surgeon Testimonial

Phillip Hornbostel, M.D.
Dr. Hornbostel is amazing, he is very detail oriented and has an open door policy. He gives you his personal cell in case you have any issues after office hours and never makes you feel like you have a stupid question.rnMost of his office staff is wonderful, Ask for Margie, she is his right hand and his wife.rnThe only disapointment I had was, I had a gallstone before the surgery and he does not remove the gallbladder with the RNY. rnSo that is another surgery I have to look forward to. He just prefers to stay on the side of caution and do one procedure at a time.

8 months post op!
posted on 9/28/08 9:04 am
OMG!!! I am 3 days away from being 8 months post op and 1 lb away from my goal weight!
Here is the crazy part... we will be moving back home in a few months, and I am not sure how everyone is going to react. I never thought I would be affraid that I wouldn't be liked because I had lost so much weight.
It's probably my own insecurities but WOW!!!
I have visited home but it was a quick weekend so I didn't get to really get much time to spend with everyone and that was over 20 lbs ago.
I am more insecure with the weight loss than I ever was when I was heavier.  I guess it was because I just blamed the weight. "The weight was why I did or didn't do something, why people didn't respond the way I wanted....etc"  Now I have to face facts. People will either like me or not, but I am me.....fat, skinny or somewhere in between.

Why is weight such an obstable for people?
